Classic Pastrami on Rye


Ingredients:
- 2 slices of rye bread
- 6 oz of pastrami
- 2 tbsp of yellow mustard
- 2-3 slices of Swiss cheese (optional)
- 1 dill pickle (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
2. Place the rye bread in the skillet and lightly toast both sides for about 1 minute or until golden brown.
3. Remove the bread from the skillet and set aside.
4. Add the pastrami to the skillet and heat for about 2-3 minutes, until warmed through.
5. Spread mustard evenly on one side of each slice of the toasted rye bread.
6. Layer the heated pastrami evenly on one slice of bread.
7. If using Swiss cheese, place it on top of the pastrami and let it melt slightly.
8. Top with the other slice of rye bread, mustard side down.
9. Optionally, serve with a dill pickle on the side.
10. Slice the sandwich diagonally and enjoy your classic pastrami on rye!
